KUALA LUMPUR 

- The architecture of Kuala Lumpur is a blend of old colonial influences, Asian traditions, Malay Islamic inspirations, modern and post modern mix.

- Most Kuala Lumpur's colonial buildings were built toward the end of 19th and early 20th century. 

- Buildings with all-glass exteriors example the Petronas Twin Towers is located at the centre of the city. 

- National Museum, Menara Telekom, Istana Budaya, Kuala Lumpur Tower. 

FUSION ARCHITECTURE

- Joining two or more things together to form a single entity. (influence of culture) 

- Malaysia's fusion architecture is a reflection of Asia's many styles, cultures and religions.

- Influences include Hindu-Indian, Arab-Muslim, Chinese and European.

- Portuguese, Dutch and British colonization have also influenced local architecture. 

 

National Science Centre

- A fusion of modern architecture with Islamic design

- A space theme park at the National Science Center presents a Space Science Show and Sky Movie on a 20m diameter dome screen. Designed in the shape of a cone with its top removed and the whole structure is covered with a huge geodesic dome.
