Project 1
Self-Expression through Object ‘REPRESENTING ME’
In this project, we are to decide either designing head gear, gloves or face masks. Artwork is to be worn on head (thinking), hand (making) and face (showing & expressing).
Representation of self to be interpreted in abstracted form requiring design thinking and highest form of creative interpretation.
The idea to be include in this artwork are from self-identity through personal narrations such as
-interests,
-preferences,
-attitude and
personality.

Reflection
In this project, I able to explore in generating ideas through design processes as I did various researches on the techniques in creating an abstract art model according to my past experiences. This processes had led me reflect my past experiences where an achievement had revealed my true talent which is art and this hadlead me to pursue architecture for my future undertakings. Before being this successful, there were negative situation that inadvertently demotivate me, causes me to lack of confidence but throughout the completion, my enemy taught me a lessons which encouraged me to stand up as who I am. Besides that, I able to sketch in varied forms of art communication to express my self and the sense I wanted to feel.

In a group of 5 to 6 people. Each group are required produce a final model for a chosen user in our group which is Barbara and to creta A3 panels to explain furthur on the design process and the user's needs and wants according to the personality.
The members in my team are
-Barbara Chang Huey Yi
-Foo Ji Sun
-Kiu Ngin Pern
-Kok Xuan Ying
-Lu Chiao Er
-Shum Li Sze

Reflection
During the process of doing the individual design for the user, I've gone through many rejections from some of my team mates. As i personally think my idea was too typical but this had encouraged me to work more on research and produce more creative works. We've took turns to stay late night for the completion of our model.
For this group project, I really appreciate my group members as we are able to work together well and produce work with initiatives. We've been through many arguments but still we are able to complete this project successfully. Unfortunately, some detailed information are not recorded in the presentation boards which cause us to lose some points from it. Lastly, i hope that there will be more projects like this, it allows me to explore further and increase my creative thinking skills. Even though it is tough but practice makes perfect.

Final presentation boards &model
This is an integrated project between Design Studio 1 and Design Communication.
This project evaluates on our oral presentation and also evaluates our abilities to produce presentation boards, mock ups, sketch journal and a final model with specific reuqirements.

Reflection
In this project, we are to produce drawings from the dreamspace that we created from our personal narration. This coursework is quite challenging as most of us need to consider the architecture drawing symbol individually. Through several tutorials, I did manage to overcome these and also learnt to render to show the material used in the space for users to feel how they want it to felt in their personal working area. These drawings are learnt from the previous lectures in Design Communication which makes me easier to construct successful outcome in this project.
As for design, I did show up on every tutorial for studio 1 which made me improve on my personal interpreting skills. Thanks to Ms. Sue May, who guided me all the way until finals. I appreaciate the past judgements that had encouraged me to think out of the box eventhough I think I'm not. But the process had helped me gain my confidence to step out of my comfort zones.
