Project 1
Onsite Observation Journal (Individual) & Video (Group)
This project required us to visit Geographer Cafe arranged by coordinators. Document physical and the immediate context of the site. From an element, the urban planning itself down to the smallest detail of the ornaments used in the building.
Project 2
Building Report (Group) & Photo book (Group)
Report is an additional document that accompanies the set of drawings for the building that is measured during the semester. Significance of the building measured from various aspects such as architectural, historical and cultural.
Project 3
Measured Drawings and Model (Individual & Group)
Measure and document a historical / architecturally significant or heritage building and translate all the data into a set of drawings. Besides, doing the measuring exercise on site, students will also need to do additional research in order to piece together all the important data about the building. The model will provide additional physical information of the building for example clear visualisation of the spaces located in building and building structures.

Reflection
Site visits are an important part of learning where it allow us to have greater understanding relating to the construction project, design and the process. To ensure the construction is successful, involvement of planning and organising skills are essential for leaders to carried out. Firstly, Safety is the major concern in construction site to prevent from injuries. Equipment for carrying out measurements such as laser measuring tool, measuring tape, tapes, ladder, safety helmets, recorder are essential to be used.
Site given by coordinators were Geographer Cafe, located in Malacca, Jonker Street. Building with 2 storey. Hence, the area focuses on the dining areas to encourage more comfort environments for customers. Each spaces has their history, starting from the day Mr Peter Tseng owned the corner lot which is originally Mei Jing Kopitiam. In 1999, Geographer Cafe was opened. During the 5 days of experience, we did identify the whole context for the site with the building, the importance of preserving certain areas and also experience the environment.
