Project 1
Children's Outdoor Playscape
In group of 3, we are to design within a given area of area of 5m(l) x 5m(w) x 3m(ht), an outdoor playscape for children that is modular, lightweight as well as safe with all mechanisms being simple and easy to operate.
The main materials for its construction are reclaimable/repurposed materials and reasonably weather proof. It should be able to accommodate/support a set of proposed activities designed to instill among children not only a sense of play or exploration but also the appreciation of sustainability through the application of reusable materials.

Reflection
Site visits are an important part of learning where it allow us to have greater understanding relating to the project, design and the process. It is a great exposure to learn from the seniors on site. There are hard times when we did not get sufficient information on the spot but with the help from team mates, we able to solve the problems from our discussions and meetings.

Project 2
COMMUNITY RECYCLING, RE-PURPOSING & RECLAIMING CENTER
The project calls for a design of a COMMUNITY RECYCLING, REPURPOSING AND RECLAIMING CENTER in a suburban park area with some complexity that includes the complexity of site topography and vegetation and existing activities. Students are required to provide full design proposal incorporating precedent study and site analysis at appropriate level of presentation. It explores design solution that responds to the program, context of the site and conditions for human and environment sustainability. Students explore design solutions that reduce environmental impact utilizing clustered spatial typology and passive energy. The design should contribute to and merge harmoniously with nature and the site, and provide the best of experiences for the users.

Reflection
In this project, it was a challenge to design a recycling centre as my design intention was to implement built environment into the landscape. Design concept were more towards curved form which was one of the most consideration i need to focused on such as the raining conditions, ventilation ,construction problems and so on. In the process, Mr.Liu had helped me much throughout the whole process and encouraged me to go wild and deeper when approaching the design with functions. I appreciate the effort of Mr Liu as he willing to keep track on my work in progress and always excited to give evaluation on every tutorial sessions.
The things that I learnt the most is during the site analysis, we able to experience the site before considering the area to be construct a recycling centre. Besides that, precedent studies are also a helpful tool to give guidance towards the process of designing, from what i achieved is i able to organise spaces and consider the human flow in the building.
